Rockland School Community Library

Library News

The Library has currently undergone many noteworthy changes.

*We have new hours.  We now open at 7:45am and close at 3:45pm.  This gives the students and community access before and after school.

*We removed our outdated collections of books on cassette tape and VHS tapes.  Thanks to Kindra, The American Falls Library, and most of all the Rockland Community for your support with our book fair as well as donations, with your help we have replaced these out dated collections with new selections of DVD’s for viewing and books on CD.  They are ready for use with more items being added regularly.

*We have created a new more convenient place for patrons to browse our new books as we add them to our library collection.

*We will be upgrading to a new cataloging system this summer.  Through this process we hope to provide better access to our information as well as providing a more user friendly library.

*Don’t throw away your scratched disks, whether they are games or movies, small disks or regular size.  We have a new buffing machine that will fix most disk issues, which is available to the public for use.   The price is $2.00 for a single sided disk and $3.00 for a double sided disk.

*Lamination is available to the public for $3.00 a yard.  We laminate every Tuesday night.  If you desire lamination sooner we will accommodate you.  You will simply pay an extra .38 cents, which pays for the 1/8th of an inch that is wasted every time the lamination machine is used.

*Photocopies are available to the public.  Black and white is .10 cents a copy.  Color is .15 cents a copy.  Bring your own paper and take .05 cents off the price per page.

*New books are added to our collection almost daily, so it is worth coming in often to see what is new.

We value and appreciate your patronage.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have concerning the library as we move forward with making the Library a valuable part of our school and community.
